Directions
Instructions: Basic Cooking Instructions: Stovetop: bring water and salt to a boil. Slowly whisk in cereal, reduce heat to medium-low and cook, whisking frequently, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 2 minutes. 1 Servings: 1/4 cup cereal; 1 cup water; pinch salt. 2 servings: 1/2 cup cereal; 1 1/2 cups water; 1/8 tsp salt. 3 Servings: 3/4 cup cereal; 2 1/4 cups water; 1/4 tsp salt. 4 Servings: 1 cup cereal; 3 cups water; 1/2 tsp salt. Microwave Microwave: Combine 1/4 cup cereal, 1 cup water and a pinch of salt in a microwave safe bowl. Stir well. Microwave on high for 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until water is fully absorbed. Let stand for 2 minutes. Makes 1 serving. Slow Cooker: Combine 4 cups water, 1/2 tsp salt and 1 cup cereal in a slow cooker. Stir well. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1 1/2-2 hours. Stir well and serve. Makes 4 servings. Store in a cool, dry place. Keeps best refrigerated or frozen after opening. Tear to open.
