Caribbean Style Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
Shrimp:
- 1-1/2 pounds medium shrimp, clean
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Tajin Clasico Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
Caribbean Sauce:
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup onion, minced
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, minced
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, minced
- 1/4 cup ripe tomato, minced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon wheat flour
- 1/4 cup Tajin Mild Hot Sauce
- 1/2 cup shrimp or fish broth
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander, minced
- 1/2 tablespoon Tajin Clasico Seasoning
Directions
- In a medium container, add shrimp and marinate with olive oil, garlic, and Tajin Clasico Seasoning. Leave in the refrigerator until time to cook.
- In a pan, add a little bit of olive oil, then heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a little bit of olive oil, then heat. Add onions, peppers, tomato, and garlic, then cook for 2-3 minutes. Add wheat flour, Tajin Mild Hot Sauce, wine, shrimp or fish broth, and bay leaf. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add shrimp, fresh coriander, and salt to taste. Finally, sprinkle with half a tablespoon of Tajin Clasico Seasoning.
